How to tell the difference between a male and female Trachycarpus fortunei?

Trachycarpus seeds can be harvested in December but in order to get them you will need both a male and a female plant. The male and female trachycarpus can be identified as such by their flowers.

The male flowers tend to open before the female flowers. The male flowers tend to be yellow and the female flowers are more of a green colour and much smaller.
