Where is the best place to plant Hakonechloa?

Hakonechloa likes to be in a shady position or a part shade position. It can be grown in full sun in colder climates in the north of the USA for example but in the Uk it’s best to keep it in the shade as the leaves turn white in full sun. It is a great plant for brightening up dark areas of the garden as it has bright green foliage. In the autumn the leaves go a bronze colour before it eventually loses them for the winter period.

It likes the soil to be of a PH 6 to 7 and to be quite rich. It does not like heavy clay soils.
