Where to plant Crocosmia Lucifer?

Crocosmias only do really well in a sunny position. They will grow in shady conditions but the flowers will be a disappointment.

The soil should be rich and moist but have good drainage. A waterlogged position will be detrimental to the plant’s growth.

Some Crocosmias can become invasive so try not to plant where it could spread into neighbouring gardens. Crocosmia is listed in schedule 9 of the Countryside Act 1981 as invasive and care must be taken when disposing of unwanted plants.

Crocosmia Lucifer is not fussy about soil PH.
